The Historic Inn is beautiful, maybe even the most beautiful hotel I have ever been to. The staff was very friendly and we got some welcome gifts at the check-in. The hotel is close to the very nice (old) town and the tourist office, where we got valuable tips and a nice bag. In the outdoor shop across the street we could not only buy great hiking boots for our trip through the national parks, but also talked to the friendly owner of the shop, who gave us valuable tips for the rest of our trip. Be sure to make a side trip to Columbia (5 minutes by car): Historic gold mining town.
The bathroom was a bit outdated and the toilet was very low. Parking lots were a little hard to find.

the hotel was very nice historic and lovely historic and placed in an ancient-style building. the location was good, close to a bus station, so it was really easy to travel around. for dinner, we went to el jardin restaurant, it was very close to the venue. only the best continental breakfasts served in the restaurant.

I loved staying in the heart of downtown Sonora because it's just a short walk to great spots like the Tuolumne County Museum and delicious local eateries like Sonora Taqueria. Plus, the staff were friendly.

I am a senior and took my 8 year old grandson. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful old inn. From the time we walked in we were treated like royalty. The room was very clean and charming. The mattresses felt new, they were very comfortable
Can't think of anything. We did not eat breakfast at the inn

Our food for continental breakfast was great and all the staff were amiable and outstandingly accommodating. Booked a room with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The location was excellent, right by the restaurants & stores, and the centre of Sonora.

We slept like babies in a very comfortable bed. Staff was very nice and helpful. The second of six nights a leak in the corner, not affecting anything of ours, so they had us move to a wonderful, upgraded room. We'll stay at the Historic Sonora Inn again. Hopefully next year. Oh yeah, air conditioning worked great.
No complaints from us or our 5lb pup.

Good location in gold country. I love these historic hotels and am OK with less than modern amenities.
Sadly this hotel needs a bit of tlc. Staff are few and overstretched at times. Breakfast was poor.

Just your average motel\hotel. Was pretty quite, nice antique elevator. Pretty spacious apt. Nice location with shops and restaurants nearby. Downtown is better than you might expect.
Our suit had kinda windows facing the next building wall which is about two meters away. Bedroom had another locked door to the hall which didn't help to sleep obviously. Parking is across the steer.
